Preschool Staff

Directors

Hope Sattler is the Director of the Preschool at Central College Christian School. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University and has over 20 years of experience working with preschool aged children and their families. Prior to working at CCCS, Hope worked at The Library of Congress Center in Washington, DC as a teacher and then Assistant Director for 6 years. Hope began her journey at CCCS in 2002 as a parent of 3 CCCS alumni; Jake, Kate, and Collin. She loved her experience at CCCS so much that she returned in 2006 to teach for 5 years and then work as the Assistant Director for 5 years, before becoming the Director of the Preschool in 2019. Hope loves spending time with her children and her 2 dogs, Daisy and Beckham. Preschool is her passion and she truly feels blessed to be a part of children’s development during this crucial yet magical time in their lives.

Stacy Cochran is the Preschool Program Coordinator at Central College Christian School. She has been with CCCS since 2016. She has 20 years of experience working with children from infants through school-aged children. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her hobbies include: listening to music, traveling, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Westerville with her son, Conner. Stacy believes in the importance of family involvement, developing the whole child, and putting God above all else in our lives. She feels blessed to be a part of the CCCS Preschool family. The love, unity, and sense of community is overwhelming here at CCCS. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Billing Coordinator

Niki Clark has been working at Central College Christian School since 2000. She has taught here for 19 years and is now working in the office as the Extended Care and Billing Coordinator. Niki loves teaching but once her grandbabies arrived she decided it was time to teach them and work part time. She loves being a part of the CCCS family and loves the children that she has had the honor to teach. Niki enjoys spending time with her family, walking, riding bikes, playing games and gardening. Her favorite pastime is playing with her 3 precious grandchildren. Niki would be able to assist you with any billing questions and will be happy to guide you through our Extended Care programs.

Meet our Teachers

Tara Andrews began teaching at Central College Christian School in 2012. She has taught Moving On Up, 3 year olds, and 4/5 year olds. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science. Tara has been married to her husband since 2002. They have 2 children, Sydney and Evan. Tara enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking her dog Bruno.

Taylor Bronkar joined Central College Christian Preschool in 2020, and is going into her 2nd year as a lead teacher in the classroom teaching the 3 year olds. She graduated in 2021 with an Educational Studies Bachelors degree from Ohio Dominican University. Taylor is originally from Zanesville, but moved to Columbus after college to teach here. She has a passion of teaching young children and loves to watch them grow from the beginning to the end of the school year. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her cats and family, go to the gym, and adventure to new places. 

Katie Brooks has been teaching preschool at Central College Christian School since 2018. Katie has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a specialization in Early Childhood Development and Education. Prior to being on the Preschool staff at CCCS, Katie supported her family as a stay at home mom of two CCCS alumni. After 6 years of being a CCCS parent, and her youngest heading to kindergarten, Katie felt drawn to call CCCS home in a different way. She feels privileged and blessed to be on staff, fulfilling her education goals. When not in the classroom, Katie enjoys sporting events and the outdoors with her husband and children, visiting her mom and in-laws, reading, board games, and crafting.

Joanne Durbin has been teaching preschool at Central College Christian School since 2018.  She attended The Ohio State University and earned a degree in Business, Marketing.  She worked in several financial institutions in management before starting a family.  Several years later she went back to school and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and has taught primary grades for the last 14 years.  She has three adult children and resides in Galena with her husband, Michael and their lab, ZuZu.  Joanne loves watching OSU football, gardening, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoys meeting her students each year and watching them grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Wendy Flores has been teaching Preschool at Central College Christian School since 2019. She has had many years of experience teaching preschool aged children. Wendy was born in Honduras and came to live in the USA in 1999 and moved to Ohio in 2002. She is married to her husband, George and has 3 children: Ernesto, Esteban, and Ezequiel. She was also recently promoted to grandma! She loves to play with the children, read books, sing songs, and build with Legos!

Holli started working with infant and school-age children back in 2009. She joined Central College preschool in 2012. She took a break and came back after she had her third child in 2021. She and her husband have three children, Connor, Cailynn, and Caprice. They also have a dog named Roscoe. In her spare time she is soccer mom and dance mom. 

Nancy Fry has been teaching at Central College Christian School since 2000. Nancy has a Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Fashion merchandising. Her favorite things to do with preschoolers are to sing, dance and read stories. She has previously taught kindergarten and 2nd grade prior to her many years here at CCCS. She married her husband, Harry, in 1988. They live in Westerville. Their family includes 2 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and 3 young granddaughters. She also has 2 dogs: Velvet and Rudy. Nancy likes to read, sew, knit, and watch Ohio State and Bowling Green State University football.

Amy Glorioso has been a preschool teacher at Central College Christian school since 2012. Amy loves teaching 4/5 year olds and every year is so excited to meet her next class. Amy is an alumna of The Ohio State University where she earned degrees in Psychology and Criminology. She has been married to her high school sweetheart since 1997. They live in Westerville and have 2 sons, Jacob and Zachary. Amy loves anything Ohio State, especially TBDBITL, as well as spending time with family and friends. Amy believes the best way to learn is through laughter, love, and getting a little messy along the way.

Hannah Gorsuch joined Central College Preschool in 2020. She is currently studying at Ohio Dominican University for early education and special education. Hannah hopes to join our K-5 program after graduating in 2023. She is a tumor and brain condition survivor which has given her a passion to advocate for children. Hannah is also a proud auntie and dog momma.

Ruth Janszen joined the teaching staff at Central College Christian School in 2020. She says her job is “the best”! I get to read, play games, and interact with precious children. In her spare time, she loves to garden, cook, and hang out with her wonderful family and friends.

Jen Martin has been teaching preschoolers at Central College Christian School since 2009. She has worked both as the Muscles teacher and a classroom teacher. Jen started and has run the CCCS Preschool Fun Run since 2010. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Family Studies/Child Development. Jen has worked in the Early childhood field in different capacities for over 20 years. She lives in New Albany with her husband Kevin, 3 children Devin, Ella, and Bryn, and dog Kobe. When she isn’t teaching she enjoys running outside, doing yoga, reading, and watching her children at their various activities.

Angie Merrin has been working in Early Childhood Education since 2005. She graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and earned a Master’s degree in Education from The Ohio State University. After teaching preschool for 6 years, she stayed home with her 3 daughters. Angie resides in Westerville with her husband, 3 girls, and her 2 dogs. She is excited to be teaching preschool at Central College Christian School, where she has taught since 2018.

Barb O’ Brien has been teaching Preschool at Central College Christian School since 2000. Barb graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Child and Family Services, specializing in Early Childhood Education. Prior to teaching at CCCS, Barb taught and was the Assistant Director of a preschool in Chicago, Illinois. Barb moved to the Columbus area many years ago with her husband John, and their 3 children. She has many interests, first and foremost spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren. Barb loves to run and has completed 6 Columbus half marathons. She is an avid Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Cubs fan.

Kristan Onofrio joined Central College Christian School in 2021, and is currently finishing her degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. Prior to being on the Preschool staff at Central College, Kristan was a stay at home mom to her two boys as well as a nanny for several families for more than 10 years. Kristan lives in Westerville with her husband of 15 years. She enjoys attending her son's sporting events, working out, traveling, going to concerts, going to Columbus Crew soccer games, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jessica Stewart has been teaching Preschool at Central College Christian School since 2018. She has 3 years of prior teaching experience. She has never been more convinced that she is exactly where God intends her to be! She has been married to her husband since 2003. They have 2 amazing children. Jessica has a Bachelor’s degree from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York . After enrolling her daughter in Preschool at CCCS years ago, she watched her child grow spiritually, socially, and academically; Jessica fell in love with this school! At the same time, she felt God tug on her heart to make a career change from the business world to educating young minds. Jessica is so happy she took the leap of faith! She is honored to be a part of this amazing group of people who come together every day and love all of the little ones who walk through our doors.

Hannah Troyer started with Central College Christian School in 2022. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Goshen College. Hannah has been working in education for eight years. Recently her family moved to Ohio from Texas. She loves to spend time with her family, hike in the mountains and eat food from all over the world. 

Mary and her husband, Gary, live in Sunbury and have two grown sons, Bryan and Brandon. They enjoy reading, gardening, spending time with friends and family and taking care of their two llamas. Mary has had the pleasure and privilege of working with young children for 36 years. After graduating from The Ohio State University, twelve of those years were spent teaching third grade in Dublin. When her two sons attended Central College Preschool, Mary felt led to join the preschool teaching staff. After five years in preschool, she “graduated” to kindergarten where she taught for 19 years. This year, Mary is very excited to return to our preschool. She enjoys getting to know her students’ families and watching the tremendous strides the children make. Mary feels blessed to have the opportunity to share the Bible with young students and help them learn about God and His marvelous creation. Luke 18:16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Linda White has been a part of the Central College Christian School family since 1993. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University. Beginning in 1993, Linda began her journey at CCCS; she taught preschool for 6 years, then taught 1st grade for 9 years. After that, she became the Administrative Assistant for K-5 wing of CCCS for an additional 9 years. In 2017, Linda returned to teaching preschool at CCCS. She is widowed with 4 children and 10 grandchildren. She enjoys reading, swimming, traveling and spending time with family.

Sandi Wilson joined our preschool in 2022, she has been working with preschool aged children since 2000. She earned her degree in Early Childhood education from Ashworth College. Sandi has a passion for educating the hearts and minds of our children. She loves watching them grow academically, socially/emotionally, and spiritually. Sandi and her husband Frank just celebrated 28 years of marriage. They have 3 children (one who teaches here) and 2 golden retrievers. When not teaching, she loves to be outdoors, take long walks, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

Ashley O’Brein joined the preschool staff in 2022, she has spent over a decade working with children, which has been an incredibly rewarding journey. Her husband and her are lucky to call Johnstown, Ohio their home sweet home, where they live with their two adorable pups, Copper and Dash.
When she is not busy with her school kiddos, you'll find her hanging out with her friends and having a great time. Ashley absolutely loves cooking—”it's my way of expressing creativity and sharing love through delicious meals.”
Ashley is thrilled to be a part of this school community, where she can continue making a positive impact on young minds, with her warm and nurturing spirit, she hopes to create a welcoming and inspiring environment for all the students she work with.

Angie Payne joined the Central College Christian Preschool family in 2023. Angie is an alumna of The Ohio State University, where she studied art and majored in English. After starting a family, Angie left behind a management career at a bookstore and spent five years as a home childcare owner (infants, toddlers and preschoolers) before becoming a full time stay at home mom. When her youngest entered preschool at CCCP, Angie rejoined the workforce, pursuing her passion of fostering a love of reading and encouraging creativity through art and exploration in young children. Angie is from Lorain, Ohio and now resides in Westerville with her husband, three curious and energetic daughters, and pets: Waffles (bearded dragon), Gecky (leopard gecko), several fish and sassy feline, Twinkles. Angie enjoys  reading, gardening, horseback riding, fish keeping, house plants, Buckeye football and a good cup of coffee.

Abbie Orsborn joined the Central College Christian School staff in January of 2023. She is currently attending Columbus State Community College studying Early Childhood Education. She hopes to teach K-5 in the future. In her free time, Abbie enjoys baking, painting, reading, soccer, and spending time with God, her family, and her friends.

Bridget Ellis has been teaching early childhood since graduating high school in 1988. She was born in raised in the suburbs of Columbus and has a passion for teaching early childhood that keeps each year exciting and full of possibilities. When not teaching Bridget enjoys spending time with her family and pets, a dog named Tris and a cat named Ducky, or catching a Buckeye game on a Saturday afternoon or a Blue Jackets hockey game any evening of the week. She believes that all children are special and each deserves their chance to be their best!

Charlotte Ferguson is happy to say Central College is now her new home. She earned her Cosmetology License from The Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She enjoys helping others feel confident and happy. While working part-time at the salon, Charlotte was able to stay home with her children during the day and become a dedicated childcare provider. She cared for infants and preschool-age children for 13 years. She has also been a Sunday School teacher for many years of 4/5 year olds, whom she loves dearly. Charlotte is from and currently lives in Pataskala, Ohio. She has been happily married to her husband, Brian, since 2007. They have two children, Emery and Madden. Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs, Maverick and Todd. Above all, Charlotte loves creating a fun and engaging learning environment where children can flourish with love and laughter.

Preschool Intervention Specialist

Ann Rochon is a retired teacher from Westerville City Schools. Ann has been an Intervention Specialist for the past 34 years serving children with special needs at the preschool level. Her other job is being a fitness instructor. She enjoys walking in the evenings with her husband and two dogs.
